'Agencija za komercijalnu djelatnost' (AKD) participated in the EU KEYSTONE project workshop in Athens in early December 2024, focused on sustainable, efficient and safe solutions in the field of digitalization in road and other modes of transport. AKD was invited as a company that has already established innovative solutions in road transport and presented two projects from this portfolio: the Central System for the Collection and Processing of Tachograph Data (SOTAH), which has been completed, and the new project, the Reporting Management System for Passenger and Freight Transport in Road Transport AFFINIS, which is ongoing.

The AFFINIS project, an analytical system that connects key data for a new level of traffic, was presented to the workshop participants by project team leader Mateo Crnković and associates Ivan Ljubičić and Ivana Norac-Kevo. The method of collecting and processing data in the SOTAH system was explained in order to be able to clearly demonstrate all the advantages of the new system. Since 2019, AKD has been managing SOTAH, which has been developed in accordance with EU and national legislation. SOTAH enables data storage, which allows employers to fulfill their legal obligation, which also reduces the costs of keeping records.

After years of collecting and processing various data from tachograph systems, it has been observed that the data sets are broad, and therefore enable analysis that also encompasses other systems. The AFFINIS analytical system is now being developed and established based on the knowledge and data collected. The basic sets of report will be available to all stakeholders no later than 28 February 2025. After that date, and until 31 May 2025, AFFINIS services will be expanded.

In other words, in the coming months:

  • a continuous and unified data exchange between all stakeholders of the transport system will be established
  • tachograph data will be linked with other types of traffic data from the current systems set up by the EU.

This unique platform will be used for:

  • storage and analysis of structured and unstructured data
  • automated and optimized extraction, transformation and filling processes
  • visualization and reporting for different user groups
  • improvement of operational efficiency and quality of services.

It is very important to note that exclusively open source solutions are used within the development.
